Avoid Duplicate Content Due to Archive Index Blog

Blogger is very prone to various kinds of duplicate (duplication) that can be monitored through Google webmaster tools, namely duplicate title, duplicate description, as well as duplicate content. Cases this duplication causes confusion index so that Google can do a tire because of a page is considered to have the content, title, or description of exactly the same as other pages. Moreover, if duplication is experienced by more than two pages. Another cause of duplicate content is copy paste and of course the publication of the same article. Duplication bad for SEO blog, a page index will decline drastically. If too much duplication of content, then the tire will be conducted on the entire page. Google has ever explained about the duplicate content that affect pagerank & SERP. Among the three types of duplication, I've shared how to cope with duplicate meta description, which in fact is caused by type XML blogger template reply, namely descriptions of each page the same as setting the meta description is also similar. This time, we will focus on duplicate content for the blog archive page.

Blogger archive page (which is usually divided by month, week and day) can lead to cases of duplicate content because the archive does not have its own content. The contents are the parts of the post who actually belongs to the pages of posting itself. Thus, in Google's index, archive pages will have the same content with a few other posts. In the description in the index, archive, too. Sometimes, archival pages have the same description with the homepage. As the following example: similar description on the blog page index open-rahasia.blogspot.com If you searched on Google with the command / keyword site: a domain, Google will prioritize homepage & archive on the page first, only then followed by the pages of posts. Surely this can be bad also on the priority of the posting who should be ranked higher than the archive page.
Depart from it, it means that there are at least two effects of the Blogger archive index page: 1. Duplicate content (same content from two or more different pages) 2. Priority archives page index is higher than the posting page.
To avoid this, the needful is to block the Google search engine to index the archive page.
How to Avoid Home Search Engine On Blogger Archive As a way so that the robot crawlers do not follow the archive page, simply use conditional tags, and use the noindex meta tag & noarchive on his robot. Crawler will skip every archive page. 1. Open the Edit HTML page 2. Copy the code below & paste / put under <head> (ctrl + F) or above / below the other meta tags.

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "archive"'>

<meta content='noindex,noarchive' name='robots'/>

</ B: if>
3. Save the template.
By using the code, in some time, the archive pages will be ignored by search engine crawlers. Or if you can not wait, can directly propose the elimination of the index through the removal tool in Google Webmaster Tools (site configuration> crawler access> remove the url). Duplicate content can then be minimized. But if my friend still wanted to be a priority index of archive pages, of course, no need to use it that way. In the end, just choose which one buddy want in a blog on search engine optimizing.
Have a nice blogging, folks!
